How to Fix Garbled Display Problem

Fixing Garbled Display Problem
(Safe, Fast and Easy).
(For DESKTOP PC)

There are many ways on how to determine the problem of your PC, but sometimes it’s hard to understand how to fix it safely, fast and easy.

Knowing the Beep Codes is one way to easily determine the defects of the computer,  if you knew it.  Most of the expert  technicians are relying on this way, specially in the absence of the monitor or LCD. The memory has its own unique beep code when it is defective, the VGA card has its own,  motherboard and the processor also have their own beep codes when they are damaged.

But how about Garbled display on your monitor? Your computer will  not give out beep codes when this problem occurs.

Causes of the Garbled Display on your PC.

There are at least two (2) reasons why sometime there is garbled display on your PC.
1.)    Defective VGA Card (Video Graphics Adapter Card), mostly.

                                                                (AGP VGA Card)
                                                                  (PCIE VGA Card)

2.)    Defective Memory Card or (RAM) “but this is very seldom”.
                                                                 (Memory Card)

How To Fix Garbled Display Problem.

When this problem occurs, there is no other way but to change the damage VGA Card or Memory Card  if it is really the problem. Isolation is the best way to determine the problem, (meaning try to test it to another CPU with the same VGA Card or Memory slot as the one from which the defective belongs).

Steps on How to Isolate and replace the VGA Card.

If it happens that the VGA Card suspected to be the problem, this will be the steps to do.
1.) First, unplug the power cable of your CPU.
2.) Disconnect all the connections at the back of your CPU,  (the keyboard, mouse, VGA connectors and others so that it is totally unconnected and safe from static occurrence).
3.) Open the sidings of your CPU by unscrewing at the back of it if there’s any.
4.)  Lay flat your CPU over something that is none conductor (none metal) for you to have a full view what’s inside of it.
5.) Then you will see the VGA Card standing inserted inside the VGA port on your motherboard.  (see picture above for reference).
6.) Unscrew the VGA Card if there’s any and then slowly pull it upward towards you, (it can be easily pulled out if there is no lock underneath, but if you’re having a hard time doing it, there may be some push or pull lock at the edge of the VGA port that’s holding the VGA Card).
7.) After removing, test the VGA Card into the other CPU  with the same VGA Slot as the other one from which the defective belongs, (if there is available) if none, just bring the VGA Card to the nearest computer store to first test it before buying  replacement. (If same problem occurs to the PC in which you have tested the suspected VGA Card, then that really is the problem), and there is no other way but to replace it with a new one.
8.) Then, insert the new VGA Card inside the VGA port slowly until it reach the bottom the port, (make sure it inserted properly).
9.) Return all the connections at the back of the CPU in which you have disconnected, (the mouse, keyboard, VGA Cable, and other connections to its designated place.(the last to be connected should be the power cable for safety purpose).
10.) Then, if all is rightfully connected, turn on your CPU.

Display will become normal if your PC has already been fixed rightfully and no other defects occurred.  (That's it!)
